The Malibu Rotary Club hosted a talk by Qadir Mohiuddin about his global outlook for 2015 on Jan. 7. Mohiuddin shared what he believes to be trouble spots to keep an eye on during the upcoming year. He addressed many problems, including a small island, located south of the Sea of Japan, that has been gifted to Japan, but is facing controversy over which country owns it and how China is gaining world power.Â
Mohiuddin is an associate professor of economics at the New York Institute of Technology at Nanjing, Jiangusu, China.Â
