In response to “Best Dog of Summer Crowned” published on Aug. 9.
Though I am no longer in Malibu, I eagerly look weekly at The Times. It reminds me of such a great life there. Though you probably had nothing to do with the judging of the dogs of Malibu, I was disappointed in the selection this year. The winner, Escrow (great name!) was on a bed, not at the beach or anything pertaining to our lovely beach community. I certainly saw other examples that represent Malibu more, for instance, Paco decked out in his beach outfit. Thanks.
