There is much talk of recalling Mr. Mullen and Mr. Peak from the city council. Remember that Mr. Peak has been dealing with some serious issues. (Mental health, I think?).
It is important to allow those who suffer from addictions or mental health issues to also be viewed in a way that they may now have overcome these issues. Otherwise, anyone who suffered from, for instance, alcoholism, overcame the disease and today lives a full and productive life would permanently be disqualified from any chance of “redemption.” Wise Martin Sheen is narrating a movie about the dangers of how China quietly is destroying American businesses and jobs. Please watch it. We have serious issues in America today. The national debt is getting to a point of no return. Like in mid-1930s Germany, we can, in America, today “allow” a newborn baby (NY) to be “comfortable” with a pillow and blanket as it is starving to death. How many clergy have spoken out about this hour? I have not heard many.
