Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 29 began a project on Monday to replace water pipes and support systems on Big Rock Drive and Seaboard Road, according to a release from the City of Malibu.
The project will also improve the stability of existing water pipes.
Traffic may be affected during construction and “No Parking” signs will be posted in areas.
Big Rock Drive will be reduced to one lane with a designated flagperson helping direct traffic.
Seaboard Road will be closed for one day, according to the release. Access to properties will be provided by the contractor.
The duration of the project is expected to last more than two months. An onsite inspector will be available during construction or questions can be relayed to Ron De Vera with Waterworks Division at 661.609.3588.
