It is crunch time for the MalibuGreenMachine. The nonprofit has just four months to raise the final funds for its 1.4-mile, $1.5 million dollar Pacific Coast Highway median enhancement project.

The Malibu Garden Club responded this month to this final fundraising drive by presenting a donation to MalibuGreenMachine President Jo Giese.

“You have the same interest in beautifying Malibu that we do,” Malibu Garden Club President Shirley Feron said in a press release.

Other have also recently offered their financial support, including DeeAnna Staats and Richard Hirsch of Cielo Malibu Estate Vineyards.

Also, Joe Geever of the Surfrider Foundation gave the MalibuGreenMachine’s work an important environmental endorsement. Geever, Surfrider’s California policy coordinator, said in a press release, “We encourage ocean-friendly gardening that helps protect the local ecosystem and marine life by reducing urban run-off. We appreciate the GreenMachine’s project on PCH. The design has been thoughtfully engineered to address CPR for the landscape-conservation, permeability and retention.”

Donations are tax deductible and can be made to MalibuGreenMachine, 23852 Pacific Coast Highway, # 718, Malibu 90265 or go to MalibuGreenMachine.org to pay with PayPal.
