World-renowned author and co-founder of Passages Malibu Chris Prentiss joined Bank of Books for California Bookstore Day on Saturday. Prentiss discussed his book, “Zen and the Art of Happiness,” and shared personal stories, insight and wisdom on the universal laws of happiness. “Zen and the Art of Happiness” has been published in 25 different countries and has reached best seller status in most, proving the pursuit of happiness is a driving force in all of us.
Prentiss said, “Done correctly, happiness is an inevitable end.” This was a rare opportunity for locals and visitors, as Prentiss hasn’t done a book signing for 10 years. The lecture was followed by a Q&A. Prentiss was pleased to join Bank of Books for California Bookstore Day and said, “I was happy to be out in the community sharing what I’ve learned in the last 78 years.”
His books include “The Laws of Love: Creating the Relationship of Your Dreams,” “The Little Book of Secrets: Gentle Wisdom for Joyful Living,” “The I Ching: The Book of Answers” and more. Prentiss founded Passages Malibu with his son, Pax Prentiss.
