In regard to the letter by Wade Major pertaining to the “big bump” on PCH at Tuna Canyon and Big Rock, I couldn’t agree more about that very dangerous stretch needing immediate attention, long overdue. A recent survey shows a crack has now developed that most certainly will cause a tragic accident. I’ve talked to a lot of residents who have experienced a severe jolt to their cars as they reach this horrid bump. With the forthcoming influx of summer beach traffic, I shudder to think of what could happen when a car hit that bump and turns over into southbound heavy, constant traffic.
Mr. Major certainly described the “big bump” in detail and all residents should make a plea to Caltrans to give it immediate attention. If anyone cares to join me in a letter writing campaign, I’d be happy to do whatever is needed to get the bump fixed for the safety of us all. I’m in the phone book. Let’s get something done soon.
