A weeklong, student-led series of lectures, performances and documentaries will kick off “Peace, Hope, and Justice Week” at Pepperdine University, beginning on Martin Luther King Day next Monday.
The Pepperdine University Volunteer Center and Intercultural Affairs Office have scheduled events for the week of social awareness, including a day of volunteer service, 24-hour prayer wall, luncheons, and a celebration of the life and work of Dr. King in Stauffer Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 6 p.m.
Nonprofit organizations will be handing out information on social justice and hosting giveaways from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Joslyn Plaza during Wednesday’s Peace, Hope, and Justice Fair.
A 24-hour prayer for the nations will begin at 11 a.m. on January 22 in Adamson Plaza and students can experience a variety of unique student organization’s worship at the Worship Mosaic at 9 p.m.
Artistic expressions of peace, hope, and justice will be on display at the Art Walk at Adamson Plaza, beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23.
