Five-time Grammy Award-winner Wynonna Judd (pictured) will perform with her band, the Big Noise, at Pepperdine on Thursday, September 19.

Wynonna and the Big Noise are set to take the stage at Smothers Theatre on Sept. 19.

A five-time Grammy Award-winner, Wynonna Judd has been a country music singer for nearly 30 years. She started her career as one half of music duo The Judds, along with her mother, Naomi Judd, during the 1980s.

The younger Judd later went on to have a successful solo career. She received the Top Female Vocalist of the Year trophy at the ACM Awards in 1994, and Rolling Stone called her “the greatest female country singer since Patsy Cline.”

In addition to her music, Judd is also a New York Times bestselling author. She penned a memoir, “Coming Home to Myself,” in 2005 as well as a work of fiction, “Restless Heart,” in 2012.
