June gloom will stick around Malibu throughout the weekend, with high temperatures predicted around 66 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Patchy fog will gradually clear after 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, with light and variable winds up to 10 mph in the afternoon and a high temperature of 66 degrees. Low temperatures are predicted around 56 degrees.

Similar weather patterns are predicted for Sunday, June 14.

Friday, June 12

The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station will conduct a DUI checkpoint in an undisclosed Malibu location, beginning at 7 p.m. through 3 a.m.

The Malibu Cultural Arts Commission presents a screening of “Woman in Gold” and a fundraiser for the public art fund with question and answer session with special guest Randol Schoenberg at Malibu Jewish Center at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, June 13

Author Mikhail Tank will read and sign his new children’s book at 12 p.m. followed by music at “Coffeehouse” featuring performances by local band Karma Dealers, Lenny Goldsmith and more at 6 p.m. at Bank of Books.

Find information about protecting your home and fighting brushfires during the Malibu Democratic Club’s Second Saturday Series at the Malibu Library at 11:30 a.m.

Sunday, June 14

Dozens of artists will display their work during a day of music, art and storytelling at Tales By The Sea, at Malibu West Swimming Club at 4 p.m.
