On behalf of the City of Malibu, City Council Member Laura Rosenthal accepted the Institute for Local Government’s Beacon Spotlight Award last week. The award, according to the city’s social media, was given “in recognition of its outstanding achievements to address climate change, promote energy innovation and create more sustainable communities.”
Malibu was also given a gold level award in sustainability best practices.
