Local lovelies Téa Leoni and Cindy Crawford are dusting off their Timberlands and getting ready to hit the hills. They’ll join fellow celebs Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kathy Smith, Farah Fath, Richard Roundtree and hundreds of others at Paramount Ranch on Saturday for the annual Expedition Inspiration Take-A-Hike against breast cancer.

The dedicated gang of do-gooders will also help mark a milestone-the event’s 10th anniversary.

“Take-A-Hike is one of the most intimate and down-to-earth fundraising events in town,” co-chair Brenda Himmelfarb said. “It’s a family-oriented event where people hike shoulder-to-shoulder with celebrities and enjoy a great camaraderie.”

Expedition Inspiration was founded in 1993 by breast cancer survivor Laura Evans to raise money and awareness for the cause. Over the years, more than $2 million has been raised for the Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer Research and the Revlon / UCLA and USC / Norris Lee Breast Centers through the UCLA Jonsson and USC/Norris cancer centers.

In addition to the Take-A-Hike event, celebrity hair stylists across the country, will be snipping their way to a cure. Hollywood’s mane man Laurent D will host a special cut-a-thon at his posh West Hollywood Prive Salon. Proceeds from cut, color and styling services will be added to the Expedition kitty.

Prive Cut-A-Thon: Oct. 15, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. More information about the cut-a-thon and for participating salons, can be obtained by calling 866.351.1193.
