The Malibu Times, City of Malibu Announce Holiday Hours

The Malibu Times’ office hours and submission schedule will be changed this weekend in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

The Times office will be closed Tuesday, July 4.

People item submissions (photos and sports briefs) will be due by noon Friday, June 30. News submissions (news briefs, calendar events, letters to the editor and obituaries) will be due by noon Monday, July 3.

Classified ads will be due by 1 p.m. Monday. Camera ready ads can be submitted until noon Monday, with all other ads due by noon on Friday, June 30.

Malibu City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, along with the Malibu Senior Center and the Malibu Community Pool.

The Michael Landon Center at Malibu Bluffs Park will be open and staffed from 8 a.m. — 8 p.m. from Saturday-Tuesday, July 1-4. No regular programs are scheduled for those dates. A security guard will be patrolling the park from 5 p.m. — midnight on the Fourth to ensure safety.

Trancas Canyon Park, Las Flores Creek Park, Legacy Park and Malibu Equestrian Park will be open from 8 a.m. to dusk daily throughout the holiday weekend.

All school campuses will be open on Monday, July 3, but closed on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the holiday.
