Dog partition follow-up

I echo the bark of Shlomo Hercules Pepper regarding the dog park partition. Lots of money went into the park, yet it is not fully accessible to all dogs of any size. In our first visit with our new dog, a rescue, who weighed nine pounds at the time, he was approached by a young husky of much greater size. When the husky tried to step on my little guys, back I asked his owner to stop their dog from doing so. I was met with, “If your dog is not used to this then he does not belong in a dog park.” I replied that we had just got him and we were checking out the park.

Responsible dog ownership is a part of a dog park and unfortunately not all owners properly monitor their pets at the park or even attempt to control their animals. As a result we just don’t go there. That seems like a waste of resources. A partition by dog size would be very helpful as my guy now weighs 16 pounds but is still very short and a small breed.
