City accepting grant applications from local nonprofits

Malibu nonprofits can begin applying to the city’s 2013-2014 General Fund Grant Program, according to a city release. Grants are awarded to Malibu nonprofit organizations that provide benefit services to residents of the city.

All applications must be submitted to Malibu City Hall in person or by mail no later than Friday, March 29. The City Council Administration and Finance Subcommittee will review applications in May, with approvals scheduled for June. Grants are scheduled to be awarded in July.

Applicants who have not received these grants in the past will be given first consideration. The City’s General Fund Grant Program may be impacted if State budget reductions are implemented.
