During the Medicine for Humanity’s 20th anniversary fundraiser, Malibu-based charity founder Dr. Leo Lagasse was honored for his work improving the health of women and mothers in developing countries. Lagasse and wife Ann have arranged for teams of doctors and nurses to perform surgeries and train local medics in more than 20 nations.
