Malibu dog Super Smiley earned the “Triple Threat Zoomie” award for being the “best dog actor, singer and animal advocate” at an animal awards show Feb. 22.

Smiley was awarded for inspiring award-winning films and promoting pet adoption. Smiley inspired the film “Super Smiley Flash Mob: A Dogumentary,” which was awarded at various festivals last year. Some of his other “dogumentaries” recently screened at the Sundance Film Festival.

Smiley also took part in the “The Super Smiley Flash Mob 4 Pet Adoption,” a national tour to promote adopting pets from local shelters, and appeared on a radio show, “A Super Smiley Adventure,” on Pet Life Radio.

Smiley’s owner, Malibu dog trainer Megan Blake, was the resident pet expert and host on PBS’s pet series “Animal Attractions TV.”
