What's this "state parks" on chopping block stuff anyhow?

Five Malibu state parks to close due to budget cuts according to Times writer, Melonie Magruder.

How many of us have ever been to one of these parks?

Not many, I bet. These are tourist attractions and the last thing we need is more tourists, so keep on chopping.
