The Malibu Association of REALTORS met for their last membership meeting of the year recently. The meeting, which was attended by more than 100 realtors, was led by association president Dan Ross and featured speakers Malibu City Manager Jim Thorsen and California Association of REALTORS Executive Vice President Joel Singer. Thorsen discussed issues that impact building in Malibu, most notably the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Board’s Basin Plan that will result in a new sewer system in the Civic Center area. Singer discussed trends in national, state and local economies and their impact on real estate.
Additionally, Sandro Dazzan announced the results of the association’s annual elections. The 2012 board of directors will be led by incoming President Bobby Lehmkuhl, President-elect Matt Ogden, Past President Dan Ross, Vice President Mark Gruskin, Treasurer Sandro Dazzan, Secretary Jennifer Chrisman and Directors Jan Thompson, Bill Bowling, Brant Didden, Brian Merrick, Meril May, Teresa Hames, Derinda Moses, Damon Skelton and newest Director Rick Wallace.
