Street Talk: How Did You Spend Valentine’s Day? — “I celebrated Valentine’s Day by driving up to Carmel to see the woman I’m seeing. I met her for dinner and then we went out and had a beautiful evening. The next day we cruised down to Big Sur, and enjoyed the drive on the coast.”

Malibu Times photographer Julie Ellerton asked around town how locals spend the romantic holiday. Check out their responses at left.

“I took my sister’s Kundalini class at 11 a.m. and we did visualization for Romance. Then I taught my meditation for beginner’s class, and then that night I took a warm bath.”

“I was waiting for my husband but his flight got delayed from New York so I spent it with my identical twin sister at Kristy’s Malibu.”

“I drove my daughter from Sun Valley, Idaho to Snowbird, Utah for a skiing race while my wife drove my other daughter from Sun Valley, Idaho to Jackson, Wyoming for a ski race, so I haven’t seen my wife since Thursday. So I didn’t see any of my loved ones, other than one of my daughters, on Valentine›s Day!”

“My fiancée Jennie and I slept in till 11 o’clock, [then] leisurely woke up. We had lunch at the Elephant Bar, then went to the movies, then went to a Greek restaurant that night for dinner and drinks.”
