Dennis Hoggatt, longtime manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Malibu, died March 7. He was 73.
Hoggatt served a couple of generations of Malibuites in the almost three decades he operated KFC. He retired in 2000, moving back to his native Kansas to live near his brother and mother.
“He is remembered for his jovial personality, genuine laughter and care for his customers,” Hoggatt’s friends and family said in a written statement. “Dennis was dearly loved by his four children, extended family and many friends.”
