Students at Webster Elementary School collected 3,248 books in their 10th annual student-run book drive. The drive is conducted for BookEnds, a Los Angeles-based program that donates books to schools in need. Students in Marcia Nix’s third grade and Lori Roses’ fourth grade classes collected, counted, organized and packaged the books, which were donated by families and friends of students at Webster. The classes personally delivered books to Lemonwood Elementary School in Oxnard.
