Malibu seventh-grader Carson Caccamise is a songwriter who has had three songs covered on nationally released CDs. His fourth cover, Mike Mulholland’s version of “Bittersweet,” has been released this month. Three of Carson’s songs have received honorable mentions in the VH1 songwriting contests and have received airplay nationally throughout the country. Because of these accomplishments, Carson was elected into the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers in January 2005 at age 9. This made him one of the youngest members ever elected.
