Malibu resident James “Jimmy” Allard died Oct. 8. He was 50 years old.
Allard was a lifelong Malibu resident and a passionate surfer. He died from injuries sustained in a recent accident when a car struck him while Allard was riding his bicycle. The exact cause of death is pending and will be known upon completion of an autopsy report.
Allard is survived by his wife Stacey Allard, his daughter Alexis Allard, his father Billy George Allard, his step-daughter Tavianna Wysinger and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Anna Tadini-Allard and his brother David.
A memorial paddle out will take place at 9 a.m. on Nov. 19 at Surfrider Beach. The beach was one of Allard’s favorite places to surf.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in the form of a U.S. Savings Bond with the name of his eight-year-old daughter, Alexis Allard, listed as beneficiary for college, and her mother, Stacey Allard, as bond owner. Contributions can be sent to P.O. Box 1045, Malibu, CA, 90265.
