Malibu resident Jim Hull submitted this photo of his family’s 1947 French Delahaye taken while evacuating due to the Woolsey Fire.
In an email to The Malibu Times, Hull wrote, “Because I have owned this car since 1979—40 years ago this year!—and it has played such an integral role in the raising of my family, as well as taking my wife and I all over the U.S. and Europe on car rallies, it was only natural that it was my first choice to be saved from the fire!”
The car was taken to the Zuma Beach parking lot. Their home was mostly undamaged from the flames.
