Students at Point Dume Marine Science Elementary School participated in Read Across America Day. Rene Colato Lainez, who has published nine books and has two more scheduled for release in 2015, was the visiting author. The children’s favorite story was “The Tooth Fairy Meets El Raton Perez.”
For part of the day’s celebrations, students, faculty and parents wore their pajamas, shared their favorite books and read out-loud.
