MHS Finds New Assistant Principal

As of July 20, Malibu High School’s new assistant principal is Hillary Weissman. This is her first year with the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District; she is coming from Norte Vista High School in Riverside.

She has worked as an English teacher at both San Pedro and Westminster High Schools and as a co-aquatics director at Westminster.

According to information from Malibu High School’s website, she “holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in educational administration, and received a doctorate in educational leadership,” from California State University Long Beach.

In a statement provided by the school district, Weissman said she is “honored to join the dynamic SMMUSD team,” and looks forward to getting to know the students and staff at MHS.

“Hillary will be a valuable addition to our district leadership team,” Interim Deputy Superintendent Dr. Mark Kelly said in the statement.
