As of July 20, Malibu High School’s new assistant principal is Hillary Weissman. This is her first year with the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District; she is coming from Norte Vista High School in Riverside.Â
She has worked as an English teacher at both San Pedro and Westminster High Schools and as a co-aquatics director at Westminster.Â
According to information from Malibu High School’s website, she “holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in educational administration, and received a doctorate in educational leadership,” from California State University Long Beach.
In a statement provided by the school district, Weissman said she is “honored to join the dynamic SMMUSD team,” and looks forward to getting to know the students and staff at MHS. Â
“Hillary will be a valuable addition to our district leadership team,” Interim Deputy Superintendent Dr. Mark Kelly said in the statement.Â
