The Malibu-based nonprofit Crayon Collection hosted a crayon donation drive event at the Westfield Culver City mall. It set a Guinness World Record for “the most crayons donated to charity in eight hours; total count of 1,009,500 crayons,” according to information from the nonprofit.
California Senator Henry Stern attended the event and presented Crayon Collection President Sheila Morovati with a Senate Certificate of Recognition.
The SparKids put on a dance performance.
