'Moving On' by Maureen Haldeman

Local photographer Maureen Haldeman is of one of seven artists whose works are on display at Keystone Art Space’s “The LA River: A City Runs Through It” exhibit through March 1.

The 51-mile long LA River was previously used as a shelter for the homeless and a setting for movie shoots, but several organizations are now attempting to revitalize the river and its adjacent communities. Haldeman and her fellow photographers have gathered together to exhibit their personal views of the river before it undergoes the changes.

Raised in Montreal, Haldeman has traveled and photographed seascapes around the globe. Her works are on display in both public and private collections worldwide.

The exhibit will be Keystone Gallery’s last, as the building is located near the LA River and will be repurposed after the exhibit closes. Visit keystoneartspace.com for more information.
