Our Lady of Malibu School has chosen Michael Smith as its interim principal for the 2011-2012 school year. Smith began his career in education as an elementary school teacher and has 23 years of administrative experience in K-12 schools. He has worked as an assistant principal, principal, district coordinator, administrator of an adult education center and an interim executive director at various schools.
Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pacific Oaks College and a Master of Arts degree from California State University, Los Angeles. Additionally, he has done post-graduate work at the University of Southern California and has a Bilingual Certificate of Competency.
