Panga Boat Washes Up at Leo Carrillo

Another smuggling boat washed up at Leo Carrillo State Beach on Saturday morning, Sept. 18. The boat was just the latest vessel to wash up on a local beach in the area, with the Ventura County Star reporting a panga boat was spotted on Thursday, Sept. 16, off Thornhill Broome Beach and another empty panga was found near Neptune’s Net on Sept. 2. On Aug. 12, a panga containing 10 passengers thought to be migrants was spotted at Thornhill Broome.
