It’s looking to be a hot, busy weekend in Malibu, with temperatures in the 80s sure to tempt crowds from the valley to visit the shoreline. Dry conditions, however, will present a serious fire risk as Malibu enters the season of Santa Ana winds.

Saturday marks Malibu High’s Homecoming Dance on the Malibu Pier and the daytime high should hit 85 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. But humidity will be just 24 percent. Winds could gust up to 20 MPH, according to NWS. On Saturday, author T.C. Boyle is also set to sign his new book at the Bank of Books at Point Dume Village.

The Malibu Lions Club annual Flea Market hits the Civic Center this Sunday, when the temperature should be 84 degrees and humidity at 35 percent.
