Malibu boys soccer and girls basketball played games at home Thursday, Jan. 26 — the boys versus Santa Clara and the girls up against Thatcher.
The boys fell in a 6-1 loss against their Oxnard-based opponents. On the 30th, the teams met up once again for a 1-1 tie, and MHS defeated St. Bonaventure 3-0 in a game just before The Malibu Times went to print on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Malibu girls were bested by Thatcher, 31-16, but beat Nordhoff later in the week with a score of 40-34.
The girls varsity basketball team next faces Fillmore at home on Thursday, Feb. 2.
