The Malibu Heat had a very successful season in the Malibu City 6-8 Basketball division league. The middle school division team, managed by Raffi Agopian and coached by Daniel Coleman, came off a 7-1 regular season record, cruising through the championships to earn a 9-1 total record, winning the championship playoffs on Feb. 15.
“It was a great season; the kids worked hard, we are very proud,” Agopian said in a statement provided to The Malibu Times.
