A Malibu couple’s sign promoting the Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan Republican 2012 presidential ticket was vandalized last week.
Bonnie and Dick Coleman drilled the sign onto the garage of their home on the eastern stretch of Pacific Coast Highway on Sunday of last week. The following Tuesday, they found drawings of penises and the words “lesbians” and “gay sex” written on the sign’s white letters.
Bonnie Coleman, who is the manager of Malibu’s Republican Headquarters, said this was not the first time the couple had people damage signs posted at their home.
“In 2008 I caught some young men in the act of trying to pull a [John] McCain sign off our garage door,” she said.
Los Angeles County Sheriffs filed a report and are investigating the incident but have not made any arrests.
