[Update, 12:30 p.m.] Traffic is now clear at Big Rock. The injured biker was taken to a local hospital via ambulance, according to Malibu Emergency Services Coordinator Brad Davis.
A bicyclist was injured in an apparent collision with a car near Big Rock Drive and Pacific Coast Highway in eastern Malibu, according to an alert from the city.Â
The extent of the biker’s injuries were not known as of 12:15 p.m., according to Sgt. Phillip Brooks of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
A Los Angeles County Fire helicopter was said to be flying in to transport the biker to a local hospital, according to the city. Drivers should expect delays near Big Rock and PCH.Â
