Lasting beauty

It has been extraordinary to watch the phases of the median work between Cross Creek and Webb Way and to realize it is for beautification, not repairs or utility upgrade. It is clearly a large and costly job and an offering to the community.

First came the large trench with carefully placed sandbags, then rich black soil, and now the planting and brickwork, which, so far, look as if they always belonged there.

How can we thank the many people and sponsors who have conceived this and brought this to fruition? Once Fred Segal created the playground/park in the Malibu Country Mart. Now Jo Giese and her generous friends give us another gift of landscaped public space which will gladden us for years to come
