Ironic turn-around

When council members Sharon Barovsky and Andy Stern wrongly fired their appointed planning commissioners, Robert Adler and Deirdre Roney, for refusing to support the Malibu Bay Company Development Agreement, Barovsky and Stern disingenuously claimed they had no choice but to fire them as they had violated the Brown Act. (Subsequently, independent legal opinion determined that Adler and Roney had not violated the Brown Act.)

Now, a three-judge court of appeals panel has unanimously determined that Barovsky and Stern have themselves violated the Brown Act. Isn’t it ironic?
