‘Tis the season for holiday celebrations, parties and shopping and Our Lady of Malibu’s annual Christmas Marketplace encompasses all of the above. Held both Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3-4, there was something for everyone at this festive event! Venders showcased unique goods including a variety of handcrafted jewelry, clothing, stoneware, cards and ornaments made by OLM students, plus baked goods and treats.
Sister Rosa Gonsalez from Resurrection Church in East Los Angeles and her team of angels sold her sought-after homemade tamales, with bags on sale to freeze for Christmas Day or gobbled up on the spot; either way, this longstanding tradition is a draw for many.
The anticipation built as children waited to see good old Saint Nick, rushing to his side as soon as he arrived. Santa spent time listening to Christmas wishes, bringing a smile to the faces of children and adults alike.
