High-end retail not trendy


I read an interesting L.A. Times article this week about retail space. Expert Sandy Sigal of NewMark Merrill Cos. was quoted about the influx of discounters into retail. As Mr. Sigal pointed out, “I wouldn’t want to be in high-end clothing or jewelry right now.” Seems our city fathers were not prescient and are just finding this out after turning our beloved lumber yard into a faux lumber yard.
