Juan Cabrillo Elementary School students displayed artwork they have been creating throughout the school year at an art show during the school’s open house last Thursday. The show included paintings, drawings, ceramic sculptures of food, papier-mache mythological creatures and the fifthgrade “Art & Sole” mixed media project. Large paintings created with the help of all of the school’s students and visiting artist Cindy Short were auctioned off during the show, with all proceeds going to Juan Cabrillo’s art program.
