Violet Miehle, local student and The Malibu Times Citizen of the Year Dolphin Award Winner, was named Co-Los Angeles County Youth of the Year along with Dennis Ojogho of the Salesian Boys & Girls Club. Miehle will be eligible to compete in the state competition, and may eventually proceed to the regional and national competitions.
“We are extremely proud of Violet and her representation of the Malibu community and now all of Los Angeles County,” Jack McShane, president of Boys & Girls Club of Malibu said.
“These young people who earn recognition as Youth of the Year are living proof that Boys & Girls Clubs are effective, change lives and needed in every community.”
