Our Lady of Malibu School students learned the importance of community service and helping others by donating items for the “Backpacks of Grace” program.
Students in kindergarten through eighth grade gathered gently used backpacks, blankets, gloves, hats and new toiletries during the donation drive and seventh- and eighth-grade students sorted through the items and packed the backpacks for kids in need.
Rolls of quarters were donated by religion teacher Mrs. Sall’s mother, allowing each backpack to also include $10.
