Political luncheon

Tony Strickland, California state senator and assistant minority leader, and Troy Senik, former speechwriter for President George W. Bush, addressed the Malibu/Bel-Air Republican Women Federated at a luncheon last Friday at the Bel Air Country Club.

The guest speakers led a discussion with approximately 70 federated members and their guests on California politics and the economic and political future of the state. In addition, John Eastman, dean of Chapman University School of Law and candidate for state attorney general, shared with the attendees his vision as “the people’s lawyer” for shaping the law to enhance Californians’ liberties, freedom and prosperity.

The Malibu Times is the first newspaper in Malibu, serving the community since 1946.
