Pepperdine Professor Named 2015 Outstanding Higher Education Professional

The Neag School of Education Alumni Society of the University of Connecticut named Pepperdine University professor John McManus the 2015 Outstanding Higher Education Professional recipient during its annual awards dinner.

John McManus has been named the 2015 Outstanding Higher Education Professional by the Negg School of Education Alumni Society of the University of Connecticut. The announcement came as part of the society’s annual awards dinner.

McManus joined Pepperdine in 1979 as the director of computer services and has served as a professor, associate dean of the graduate school of education and psychology, director of the graduate and business programs, and interim dean of the graduate school of education. In addition to his roles on campus, McManus served on the University Planning Committee that wrote the University’s current mission statement and led the efforts to bring online systems to Pepperdine.
