Obituary: James Allen Meyers

James Allen Myers, Jr. of Huntington Beach passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Sept. 26. He was 55 years old.

Meyers used knowledge from a job as a high school courier to build Executive Express Inc., a Newport Beach-based courier service, into an enterprise with 63 employees. At the same time, he graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a degree in entrepreneurial studies in 1984.

“Jim was beloved by his family and many friends for his hard work, love of fun and mischievous sense of humor,” a loved one said. 

Meyers is survived by his wife, Lynne Douglass Myers; his sons, James and Conrad Myers, also of Huntington Beach; his mother and stepfather, Martha Bodman-Lefkovits and Norman Lefkovits of Malibu; his father James A. Myers Sr. of Shelbyville, Tenn.; his sisters Julie Myers of Solana Beach and Alessandra Astolfi Carter of Atlanta, Ga.; his brothers Michael Myers of Colorado Springs, Colo., Felippe Marques of South Beach, Fla. and Andrew Myers of Jackson, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
