Malibu Realtor and tennis player Amy Alcini has been selected as an inductee to the Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame’s class of 2013. Alcini will be honored at the 38th Annual Induction Ceremony and Dinner at the Lansing Center in Lansing, Mich. July 25.
“It just gives you perspective. I think that’s kind of the main thing. I’m honored and I felt a lot of gratitude,” Alcini told the Lansing State Journal.
Alcini was named the Women’s Open Player of the Year by the United States Profes s ional Tennis Association in 2011 and has earned 14 USTA national tennis titles.
The Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame was established by the Sports and Recreation Committee of the Lansing Bicentennial Commission in 1976. It commemorates the achievements and dedication of the athletic community in the area.
