The Malibu High School Sharks football team earned a decisive win during a preseason scrimmage at Frazier Mountain High School Aug. 17. The Sharks offense overcame a shaky first possession to score five times during the rest of the game. The Sharks defense swarmed the run-oriented Frazier team and kept the Phantoms out of the end zone for every play aside from a single 50-yard touchdown run.
The Sharks football season opens with a game against Saint Monica High School Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Santa Monica City College.
