Do you want to learn more about actions being taken for reliable water? West Basin Municipal Water District recently released the schedule for its free water education programs.
Programs include water recycling tours, ocean water desalination tours, Water 101 classes and a speakers bureau led by West Basin water experts.
Water recycling tours cover the water purification process and give guests the opportunity to taste purified water at West Basin’s Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility, which has produced over 165 billion gallons of purified water.
Ocean water desalination briefs will demonstrate ways in which the agency conducts responsible desalination while protecting marine life. It will also demonstrate the technology that would be used at a desalination facility.
