The California Wildlife Center, a nonprofit that provides rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick, injured and orphaned native Southern California wildlife, will host its first five-kilometer walkathon, “Walk On the Wild Side,” on May 3 at Zuma Beach.
Parents and school groups are encouraged to form their own teams for the walkathon. Registration, online donations, membership sign-ups, animal adoptions and t-shirt purchases can all be done at the CWC’s Web site, www.californiawildlifecenter.org.
